Road journey update / 7 November 2026

Enjoy the miles.Find something new.

Clean-driving gold, Manta air deliveries, the Road Notes phone tab and a free hidden-car discovery.

Make the drive itself rewarding.

Horizon’s current direction is a solo European-inspired road journey with civilian traffic, fuel, maintenance and upgrades. The latest work adds reasons to enjoy the miles between stops: clean driving rewards, useful phone services, more expressive cockpits and a car worth looking for.

Clean overtakes. Controlled slides. Gold you can spend.

Earn gold for clean same-direction traffic overtakes, a controlled drift followed by recovery, and twenty-second clean-driving streaks. A multiplier can rise to 3×, then fade with inactivity or fall on contact. The reward panel grows for an award and contracts between events, while original metallic badges and short sound cues make the result clear.

Stationary burnouts, spins, on-foot movement and recovery teleports do not count as clean driving. The A6000 generated three original reward sounds, and a local AI code review helped identify drift-timeout and traffic-ordering edge cases. Real RWD and AWD drive tests earned overtaking/streak rewards; drift settlement was also tested with deterministic trajectories.

A phone call that catches up with you.

Press P to open Pitstop Air. Order food, drinks or a road pack, then keep driving. Manta, an original autonomous flying courier, catches the car and matches its pace. With clear airspace and a steady line, the passenger window lowers and an extending arm hands over the pod. It can also deliver outdoors on foot.

The phone shows the actual courier position, ETA and delivery state. Orders survive leaving the journey, and cancellation refunds the price once before the handoff starts. Road packs contain a fuel can: park and get out before using it. Fuel is never poured into a moving car.

A hidden V12, and a few quiet rumours.

Actual Unreal phone-UI development capture. No location pin.

The Enzo-inspired fictional Vesper V12 is now parked somewhere off the main road. Open P → Road Notes for an unsigned rumour; two more subtle clues appear as you explore the opening section. There is no exact location marker. We are keeping the hiding place out of this post.

Find it on foot and press F at the driver’s door. The discovery unlocks the V12 permanently, costs no gold and provides enough premium fuel to drive away. Its usual entry, ignition, sound and cockpit systems work. The optional 12,000-gold purchase is still available, and an existing paid owner’s car is not reset or refilled by a later find.

Switching cars on the road now loads each car’s own fuel, upgrades, wear, cooling and exhaust. Your driver’s needs, gold and trip progress stay shared. The car you arrived in remains parked, ready to return to. The discovery and journey suites passed 59 checks, including blocked-door rejection, saving, an actual drive out and switching back to the original build.

More to read from the driver’s seat.

Recent cockpit work adds working needles and warning lamps, cabin multimedia controls, and clearer manual-shift prompts. Traction/stability indicators use the appropriate DSC/ESP naming and states for the relevant car style. Fullscreen state is retained through the selection-to-journey transition. These systems remain part of the evolving prototype, with further art, handling and performance refinement ahead.

Also new: Ruby’s wardrobe and concept sheet, and the mountain finale, original music and results screen. For the project overview, visit the game page. These updates describe the local development build; they do not announce a new public game download or a store release.
